WTF Event! Actually it’s a party for Charleston Water Keeper

This just popped up over the weekend. The folks over at Charleston Water Keeper had a change for their upcoming event at the Eye Level Art warehouse. The guys that they had booked for the entertainment, Party On Marz couldn’t make it. (Which kind of sucks because I checked out their site and they seemed like a pretty cool DJ duo. Hopefully, they will make it to the Chuck sometime in the near future.) And because of a recommendation from none other than Marcus Amaker, the folks from Charleston Water Keeper got in touch with me to drop some tunes at their event. The event should be pretty ill! Cameo of Mel Gibson in Take 6 - Spread Love Video, FTW?!?!

I’m doing my normal daily routine of digging through videos and music and I come across this while creating a video routine with Take 6’s - Spread Love and Ike & Tina Turners - Cussin’, Cryin, And Carryin’ On. (The heads will know why I’m doing this.) And while watching Spread Love I peeped this at the 2:45 second mark. Yep, that’s good ol Mel “Jumpin off rooftops with suicidal folks” Gibson. You gotta look real quick. I had to rewind it a few times to catch it.
As if DJs didn’t have it bad enough with people confusing us with Juke Boxes. Activision, the people who brought you Guitar Hero, are now planning to release, DJ Hero. Yep, our art is now being reduced to a push button kid game. It’s rumored to be out this fall. Other than that I have no idea how it’s supposed to work or what the heck those three buttons on the vinyl are for. Anyway, here are the renderings for the controller. Right now Joystiq is trying to confirm that these are legit.
